What is Family Fofō?
"Family Fofō" is a lineage modality of massage using your feet that has been passed down for generations through Karl's family. The word "Fofō" is loosely translated as massage in Samoan and Tuvaluan. Fofō is a traditional way to treat the unique therapeutic needs of every person.
Utilizing the greater degrees of pressure and their body weight, the performing practitioner slowly rocks, steps and presses on the receiving persons back and the desired areas. As taught to him by his family, Karl instructs the student to move the body and use their feet in the exact same way that Fofō has been performed in Samoan and Polynesian families for generations.
In this class we will cover:
The history of this family lineage
Benefits of this style of massage
Full body sequence of Family Fofō
